Faded film, old leather, worn cotton.
Faded film, old leather, coarse cotton and knitted wool. This is new work made to look that way rather than salvaged film — the genuinely old files sit in the retro collection, at the sizes they were made. What the two share is that nothing in the frame is shiny.

About the vintage football wallpapers
How many Vintage Football Wallpapers are there, and what sizes?
8 files in 1 size, all of them 3840 by 2160.
Will these fill my screen without being stretched?
Every one of the 8 Vintage Football Wallpapers is at least 3840 pixels on the long edge, so each covers a 4K panel natively and a 1440p or 1080p monitor only ever scales it down.
Are they for a monitor or a phone?
All 8 are landscape, cut for a monitor. Turned sideways onto a 9:16 phone screen, the largest of the Vintage Football Wallpapers keeps about 1215 pixels of its width and loses the rest.
Which is the biggest file, and what screen does it suit?
The largest of the Vintage Football Wallpapers is 3840 by 2160, which fills a 4K panel at its own resolution and scales down cleanly to 1440p or 1080p. Every file here is that size.
Is there a portrait version for a phone?
Not in this collection: all 8 files are landscape. The mobile and tablet collections hold portrait files.
How big are the downloads?
992 KB at the smallest and 1.5 MB at the largest, 9.6 MB for all 8 together. The Vintage Football Wallpapers are served exactly as stored, with no re-compression on the way out, so the 3840 by 2160 file arrives at the 1.5 MB the card shows. 7 of the 8 pass 1 MB, and the lightest, 3840 by 2160, is 992 KB.
Do these suit a light or a dark desktop?
4 of the 8 Vintage Football Wallpapers measure dark and 4 bright, across a range of 45 to 126 on a 0 to 255 scale, where anything under 90 counts as dark.
Can I use these anywhere I like?
On your own screens, yes, without an account.
