Single hard light, deep black, composed like a printed poster.
Single hard light, deep black background, subject dead centre. Poster wallpapers are composed the way a printed poster is, which means they hold a very large screen well and look cramped on a small one. Use these on a monitor, not a phone. All seven are 3840 by 2160 and landscape, and all seven are dark by measurement — not most of them, every one, which follows from a single light against black and makes this one of the safest sets here to put behind pale desktop icons. The same discipline shows in the file sizes: a median of 438 kilobytes and three and a half megabytes for the whole collection, where the graffiti set at the same pixel count runs to fourteen. Large flat areas of near-black compress to almost nothing, so these are the lightest 4K set on the site, just ahead of the dark collection.

About the poster football wallpapers
How many Poster Football Wallpapers are there, and what sizes?
7 files in 1 size, all of them 3840 by 2160.
Will these fill my screen without being stretched?
Every one of the 7 Poster Football Wallpapers is at least 3840 pixels on the long edge, so each covers a 4K panel natively and a 1440p or 1080p monitor only ever scales it down.
Are they for a monitor or a phone?
All 7 are landscape, cut for a monitor. Turned sideways onto a 9:16 phone screen, the largest of the Poster Football Wallpapers keeps about 1215 pixels of its width and loses the rest.
Which is the biggest file, and what screen does it suit?
The largest of the Poster Football Wallpapers is 3840 by 2160, which fills a 4K panel at its own resolution and scales down cleanly to 1440p or 1080p. Every file here is that size.
Is there a portrait version for a phone?
Not in this collection: all 7 files are landscape. The mobile and tablet collections hold portrait files.
How big are the downloads?
320 KB at the smallest and 942 KB at the largest, 3.5 MB for all 7 together. The Poster Football Wallpapers are served exactly as stored, with no re-compression on the way out, so the 3840 by 2160 file arrives at the 942 KB the card shows. None of the 7 passes 1 MB, and the lightest, 3840 by 2160, is 320 KB.
Do these suit a light or a dark desktop?
All 7 of the Poster Football Wallpapers measure dark, the darkest at 3 on a 0 to 255 scale, so desktop icons stay readable over them without a shadow.
Can I use these anywhere I like?
On your own screens, yes, without an account.
