National Team Wallpapers — 20 Free Downloads
International sides and their tournament artwork.
National team wallpapers age differently from club ones, because a shirt design lasts two years but a flag and a set of colours do not change, so the older files here have held up better than their club equivalents.
20 files qualify. Sizes present: 1280×1024, 1200×884, 1280×800, 1024×768, 1024×680, 900×676, 800×600, 508×374 and more.
About the national team wallpapers
How many National Team Wallpapers are there, and what sizes?
20 files in 10 different sizes, from 500 by 333 up to 1280 by 1024. 4 of them are 1280 by 1024, the most common size here. Between them they cover 10 different subjects.
Will these fill my screen without being stretched?
Not at full size: the biggest of the National Team Wallpapers stops at 1280 pixels on the long edge, so a 1080p monitor scales all 20 up. All 20 are published at that size, never enlarged.
Are they for a monitor or a phone?
All 20 are landscape, cut for a monitor. Turned sideways onto a 9:16 phone screen, the largest of the National Team Wallpapers keeps about 576 pixels of its width and loses the rest.
Which is the biggest file, and what screen does it suit?
The largest of the National Team Wallpapers is 1280 by 1024, which is smaller than a 1080p screen in at least one direction, so on any current monitor it is scaled up. The smallest of the National Team Wallpapers is 500 by 333, holding 7.9× fewer pixels than the largest.
Is there a portrait version for a phone?
Not in this collection: all 20 files are landscape. The mobile and tablet collections hold portrait files.
How big are the downloads?
48 KB at the smallest and 290 KB at the largest, 2.7 MB for all 20 together. The National Team Wallpapers are served exactly as stored, with no re-compression on the way out, so the 800 by 600 file arrives at the 290 KB the card shows. None of the 20 passes 1 MB, and the lightest, 508 by 374, is 48 KB.
Do these suit a light or a dark desktop?
8 of the 20 National Team Wallpapers measure dark and 12 bright, across a range of 15 to 189 on a 0 to 255 scale, where anything under 90 counts as dark.
Can I use these anywhere I like?
On your own screens, yes, without an account.
