Chelsea Wallpapers — 3 Free Downloads
The library holds 3 Chelsea wallpapers. All 3 Chelsea files are landscape, cut for a monitor and not for a phone. They come in 3 different sizes, from 1024×746 up to 1280×1024.
None of the 3 Chelsea files reaches 1920 pixels: the biggest stops at 1280 on the long edge. 3 of the Chelsea files sit at 1280 pixels or below — the older part of the collection, down to 1024×746. Every card below carries its own pixel size.
These 3 files are everything the library holds for Chelsea wallpapers. Nothing is queued and nothing sits behind a sign-up.
About this set
How many Chelsea wallpapers are there, and what sizes?
3 files in 3 different sizes, from 1024 by 746 up to 1280 by 1024. No two of them share a size.
Will these fill my screen without being stretched?
Not at full size: the biggest of the Chelsea wallpapers stops at 1280 pixels on the long edge, so a 1080p monitor scales all 3 up. All 3 are published at that size, never enlarged.
Are they for a monitor or a phone?
All 3 are landscape, cut for a monitor. Turned sideways onto a 9:16 phone screen, the largest of the Chelsea wallpapers keeps about 576 pixels of its width and loses the rest.
Which is the biggest file, and what screen does it suit?
The largest of the Chelsea wallpapers is 1280 by 1024, which is smaller than a 1080p screen in at least one direction, so on any current monitor it is scaled up. The smallest of the Chelsea wallpapers is 1024 by 746, holding 1.7× fewer pixels than the largest.
Is there a portrait version for a phone?
Not in this set: all 3 files are landscape. The mobile and tablet collections hold portrait files.
How big are the downloads?
136 KB at the smallest and 144 KB at the largest, 420 KB for all 3 together. The Chelsea wallpapers are served exactly as stored, with no re-compression on the way out, so the 1280 by 1024 file arrives at the 144 KB the card shows. None of the 3 passes 1 MB, and the lightest, 1024 by 746, is 136 KB.
Do these suit a light or a dark desktop?
All 3 of the Chelsea wallpapers measure dark, the darkest at 23 on a 0 to 255 scale, so desktop icons stay readable over them without a shadow.
Can I use these anywhere I like?
On your own screens, yes, without an account.
