Hm, since I only know vaguely the plot, I feel kind of silly susntgeigg theme music, but here’s a shot:La Danse Macabre- Camille Saint Saens is my number one rec because holy god, nothing says supernatural like this.Kings of the Wild Frontier- Adam the AntsThe Second Waltz, conducted by Andre RieuQueen Bee- Barbra StreisandAll I Want is You- Barry Louis PolisarEve, The Apple of my Eye- Bell X1Both Sides of the Gun- Ben HarperJuicy- Better Than EzraAphrodisiac- Bow Wow WowExit Music (for a Film)- RadioheadThe Ballad of Grim and Lily- Bree SharpIrgendwo Auf Der Welt- Comedian Harmonists (I don’t speak German, but just the music is very amazing. Totally amazing. The lyrics when translated are pretty beautiful too.)The Culling of the Fold- The DecemberistsThe Infanta- The DecemberistsThe Bagman’s Gambit- The DecemberistsSleep to Dream- Fiona AppleSomeone to Love- Fountains of WayneMatine9e- Franz FerdinandThe Way I Am- Ingrid MichaelsonHallelujah- Jeff BuckleyRead My Mind- The KillersWhen You Were Young- The KillersI Like Giants- Kimya DawsonTree Hugger- Kimya DawsonThrow Me a Rope- KT TunstallTake This Waltz- Leonard CohenBaila Morena- Zucchero featuring ManaUno- MuseWelcome to the Black Parade- My Chemical RomanceOphelia- Natalie MerchantWuthering heights- Pat Benatar (cover of the Kate Bush song)Aspettami- Pink MartiniSway- Rosemary ClooneyBuilding A Mystery- Sarah McLachlanCaramel- Suzanne VegaDelta Dawn- Tanya TuckerLeather- Tori AmosRinse- Vanessa CarltonThe Tower- Vienna TengC’mon C’mon- The Von BondiesOne Headlight- The WallflowersSo, um, it’s a huge list, but I figured it was better to overrecommend than underrecommend. And I can hook you up with MP3s for most of these if you would like them. One thing I think you should keep in mind is how creepy songs can be mind based on the context. For example, there was a song used in an episode of The X-Files ( Home ) called Wonderful, Wonderful by Johnny Mathis. The episode completely ruined it for me forever, because it is so deeply associated with the theme of the episode. So if you can somehow link, like Polly Wolly Doodle or something to something sinster and vampirey, it’s kind of awesome. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
